The estimation on the dentist total work of Resource-Based Relative Value Scale






Abstract
The dentist total work of RBRVS were estimated to develope of national dental health insurance fee schedule. Three hundred dentists were selected by systematic random sampling. Mailing questionary survey were carried out to investigate dentist total work of RBRVS. Response rate showed 58%. Descriptive and multiple regression analysis were peformed for analysis.
The highest total work value was apicoectomy of central incisor and the lowest was radiograph reading of root apex. The highest time consuming treatment was endodontic treatment of maxillary second Molar and the lowest was radiographic reading of root apex. The highest tecnical and physical work value was apicoectomy of central incisor and the lowest was radiographic reading of root apex. The highest value of judgment and psychologic work was endodontic treatment of maxillary second Molar and the lowest was infiltration anesthesia of low incisor. The highest value of stress was endodontic treatment of maxillary second Molar and the lowest was infiltration anesthesia of low incisor. Dentist treatment career, number of patients, rate of non insurance treatment and age distribution of patient factor were significantly influenced to the dentist total work of RBRVS.
